On May 2, 2008, Tropical Cyclone Nargis, leveled the country of Myanmar and the official death toll reported by the government has reached almost 32,000, with over 34,000 others missing. International aid reports that over 1.5 million are at severe risk.

On May 12, 2008, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake devastated the Sichuan Province in China. As of today, official figures state that 16,665 are confirmed dead and 66,286 injured, thousands are missing, many of them buried, and eight provinces were affected.

The destruction in both of these areas is unimaginable and there's no question, people need help.

deviantART is over 50% international, so it's very safe to assume that when global disasters occur, someone in our deviant family is affected. I urge you to visit the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Cresent Societies and donate if you can. If you can't then please pass along the message in your journals so we can reach as many people in our deviant community as possible to join in.

If you're not a fan of the Red Cross for whatever reason there are several other organizations taking part in relief efforts that you can find here.

Our community is what makes us special. It's what sets us apart from everyone else and every single one of us is an integral part of that.

We need to support and protect each other




First of all, thanks so much to everyone for the wonderful welcome back. I must admit I was a bit intimidated returning after my absence. Don;t spread that around though, I have this tough reputation to uphold. Anyway...much love to you all. It's time to wipe all the dread off my page and get back to the good stuff. More ART, less DRAMA right?




My mum, daughter Jewell and I will be traveling to Florida in a few weeks to have a fun and much needed Vacay. What better way than hugging Mickey Mouse and flirting with Cinderella is there to cheer a Mistress up? Jewell is SUPER STOKED! She hasn't been to WDW since she was 4, so now at 9 she can appreciate a lot more...especially since she is tall enough for the coasters. We'll also be spending a week at the beach etc.....hello Cocktails and bikini clad ladies. Can we say The Mistress is SINGLE now and ready to play.
